Between now and then, I need to get a full set of prints ready to sell, scan in B&W versions of all the prints, AND color versions (more about that in a minute), finish several additional knives to sell (nearly a dozen in progress at this moment, plus a handful of blanks on order), price some things, prep some display materials, work 10.5 hours for the man, visit with a long-unseen chum, pack for 4 days away / selling stuff / camping, prepare my psyche for intense human interaction, eat, sleep, maintain my incredibly unambitious hygiene standards, try a new restaurant, and in my free time get on with some home improvements and repairs.
Oh, also, somewhere in there I need to finish this year's print calendars and order those. Instead of JUST coloring calendars, I have decided to do some coloring calendars, and some with reproductions of images I have colored myself. I will probably also do a coloring book (no calendar) for those who want a calendar. Or, like me, already ordered their 2016 Patrick Gannon calendar, and just don't NEED another one. :)
In other news, I am thinking about getting into more collaborations next year, and making a functional artists' collective so that more of the awesome creative types I know can get seen and sold, without ALL of us having to look for, apply to, prep for, and go to shows. Also thinking about getting into more lathe turning projects (wood and not-wood), glow in the dark and casting resins, and ... uh ... finding more places to put my stuff out during the year, so that shows won't be quite so crucial.
Of course, I also want to go to more shows in more places, so I can see new places AND do business at the same time. Don't know if the time is ripe yet, but I would kind of like to do a show circuit in Colorado so I can see a lot more of that state, and not go broke doing so. Yay, business travel. :)
I think there is probably more, maybe a lot more stuff, but even getting these few paragraphs out has been a bit challenging this week.
OH, I know. I got on Instagram as Ornatelier, which is obviously going to be a big surprise to most of you. :)
